Ask and you shall receive 2
November 19, 2012 in Uncategorized
If I was asked to recommend only one thing you can do for yourself, then it would be, to get into the habit of ‘asking’ the universe for what you want. Do it everyday…start ‘asking’. It seems such a simple tool can’t be very effective but I truly believe, asking is the key to a lot of things. The universe is just waiting for you to ‘ask’.
What I have learnt so far about intuition, guides and archangels, law of attraction, healing, prayer, quantum jumping, beliefs, healing from the heart, manifestation and so on….is this. Asking is the most powerful of them all. It’s the conclusion I’ve come to so far. Of course…you still need the other tools to help you clear stuff but then again it still comes back to YOU asking for clearings/healings etc. If you need help ‘receiving’ again ….do clearings etc YET here too, you need to ‘ask’ that you can receive clearings. As you can see…I can’t get over this fact; that it comes back to ‘asking’.
Here’s the thing though, there is a couple of points I want to highlight.
1) It’s understanding what ‘asking’ is – because ‘asking’ can kind of seem passive for instance ‘can I have a piece of the pie?’. The answer is basically a yes or no, or worse – a maybe. So it is not that kind of asking. This is tricky to get use to because when I think of asking ….I internally think it’s about help in some way or another. Either I am needing help or I am offering assistance to another person. So in the past when I’ve ‘asked’…it has come from a place of desperation ( needing something) or of assisting (wanting to do good for someone else).
So it took me a while to get what ‘asking’ the universe meant. Asking and stating go together. So ask but as a statement. For instance ‘could I have a piece of the pie?’ is asking. On the other hand, ‘How can I get a piece of the pie? What can I do to get a piece of the pie? I want a piece of the pie please make it happen’ these are more asking/statement types which is how you need to start asking for what you want. Also another way of ensuring you are asking the right way is to make sure what your asking for can not be answered with a yes or no. So asking ‘open questions not closed questions’.
2) I truly believe you will always receive an answer for whatever you have asked for…if you have asked correctly – meaning using the ‘ask/statement/open’ way. It’s just that you may not realize you’ve been given the answer. So just ask that you are shown clearly the answer.
3) People, things, situations start happening, it is through others you may get your answer.
4) Time: I think time-wise the answer/s come pretty quick (well in my experience). It depends on whether you get, that you’ve received an answer. Also your answer may actually require you to ask for something else. For instance after receiving your answer you may realize that there is something else you should ask for. It could be something that would never have occurred to you to ‘ask’ for.
5) You have to keep ‘asking’ . Make ‘asking’ a daily habit. Ask for all sorts of stuff from little things to big things.
Your answer could be ….
Idea/s pop into your head, that at first, you will be like ‘hey, that’s an idea’ but then you may dismiss it (I think this depends on how open you are to listening). Or you may have an idea that keeps popping up in your mind now and then that emotionally moves you in some way…such as excitement, revelation, daunting, fear, hopelessness, hopeful. I think the not so great one’s like hopelessness etc only comes about due to not paying heed to the idea/s or taking action upon them when you first got them. But also, sometimes ‘fear’ can show up as soon as you get an ‘idea’ – so in this case I think the key would be to ‘ask’ for help in overcoming the fear. Though I believe in the latter case…the universe only gives you what you can actually use or are very capable of doing.
The answer may also come up as a ‘feeling’. For instance you may have a feeling to do something, go somewhere, speak to someone you know or even someone you don’t know too etc. You may not know 100% that the ‘feeling’ is your answer but you may have a ‘feeling’ that it is somehow got something to do with what you have asked for.
Another way the answer may come up is that ‘crap’ starts to happen regarding what you’ve asked for. The issue may seem to go downhill right after you have asked for things to improve. For instance I asked that an issue about my mother and I got resolved. Basically she was (and kind of always has been in the past) controlling, always grumpy, judging me on stuff that happened ages ago and bringing them up during conversations, blaming me for things such as her fridge broke down when I stayed the night as an example, it was somehow my fault, constantly comparing me and my siblings…playing favorites (when she was in a mood). So I was getting pretty stressed including my siblings too – we always spent the least amount of time with her as possible, in order to not get into heated arguments. So we’d pop in to have a cup of tea with her…tolerate her for about an hour and then get out of there. So I set my statements and asked the universe. Well loads of crap happened and it was extremely noticeable – the situation actually got worse! I knew the question had been heard by the fact that she was even more grumpier than usual…even mad!. So now I was not only having to deal with her grumpiness but now anger. Well I chose not to ask again because I was confused that the total opposite had happened…things were suppose to get better not worse. Later on I forgot and asked again…and the exact same thing happened where things got worse. I finally got it. The universe was answering my question/statement. Sometimes issues have to come up and be dealt with in order for it to get better. It’s like speeding up the process though so you can get what you want as quickly as possible.
Things now are hugely different between my mother and I. She hasn’t had an episode in months, where previously she usually had an episode daily. What the universe brought up required me to dig deep and come from a place of love and honesty. This meant I had to start thinking ‘love’ about my mother. It meant that instead of ‘shutting up’ in order to not let things escalate…I needed to start saying what I thought and felt about her…to her and then rather than take off and come back at a later date (as if nothing had happened), actually stick around. It meant seeing the beauty in her during the ugliness. The ugliness was that she said whatever she wanted to say regardless of how hurtful it would be. The beauty in it…I realized my mother was extremely open about her feelings. There is beauty in that…saying ‘i bloody hate you…get out of my house’ lol. I may not agree with her ways of expression but I get she is ‘open’ in expressing herself so to speak. Of course I also realized that things she would say, was really a reflection of how she felt about herself so of course this changed how I reacted towards her – which in turn changed how she chose to express herself.
So this means that sometimes what you ask for requires you to do some work and the universe will bring that ‘work’ right into your face so it can be dealt with quickly and get you closer to what you asked for. I’ll point out here that a lot of stuff I asked for resulted in a lot of crap
but I’ve also found now that the ‘crap’ has lessened heaps and more often I just get the answer without ‘crap’.
Last thing is HOW to ask. I have found that asking out loud… actually speaking the words is important and I highly recommend doing this. Writing it down is also another really good way to ask as well…so ask by putting it down on paper. Asking in your head; I would do last….because it’s not as powerful. I think only start asking in your head when you have at least done some ‘asking’ aloud or in writing. That way when you do ‘ask’ via your mind, your thoughts will be clear and your intention strong. So saying it aloud or writing it down is a stronger intention because you are doing more than just thinking it.
I still think that you do have to do other things like working on beliefs etc but like I said before, if there is only ‘one’ thing I could do or share with others…it would be to start ‘asking’. The ‘asking’ will also lead you to what other tools (quantum jumping, intuition,L.O.A etc) you could or should start using.
In order to judge of the inside of others, study your own; for men in general are very much alike, and though one has one prevailing passion, and another has another, yet their operations are much the same; and whatever engages or disgusts, pleases, or offends you in others will, engage, disgust, please, or offend others in you.
